As DigiPlus Interactive Corp. extends its operations in Brazil and South Africa while aiming to enter the market of New Zealand, the global advisory firm, Teneo, has been named as its strategic adviser.
The firm stated that it would offer strategic advice as it evaluates foreign market opportunities and risks and operates in different business environments. DigiPlus did not disclose the financial terms or duration of the engagement.
The appointment comes less than 2 weeks after DigiPlus’ board approved the filing of an expression of interest for an online gaming licence in New Zealand. If successful, New Zealand would become the company’s 3rd overseas market.
New Zealand Entry Under Review
New Zealand’s new regulatory framework provides for up to 15 online casino licences. The market is scheduled to open on Dec. 1, 2026, giving DigiPlus a potential opportunity to add another jurisdiction to its international operations.
The company has not announced whether its expression of interest will result in a licence. Teneo’s advisory role will cover the assessment of overseas opportunities and risks as DigiPlus considers its next steps in different regulatory environments.
The engagement also comes as the company develops its existing operations outside the Philippines. DigiPlus already holds a federal licence in Brazil covering online gaming and fixed-odds betting.
Operations In Brazil And South Africa
DigiPlus initially launched its GamePlus brand in Brazil in September 2025. It later paused those operations before entering the market under its established BingoPlus brand. In July, the company joined the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming. The institute’s members include several major licensed betting operators.
DigiPlus also secured 3 licences from South Africa’s Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in April. The approvals include a National Manufacturer Licence, a Bookmaker Licence, and a Bookmaker Premises Licence. The applications for the licences were filed in September 2025.
The approvals give DigiPlus a presence in another overseas market as the company continues building its international gaming operations.
Singapore Hub Supports Growth
DigiPlus established DigiPlus Global Pte. Ltd. in Singapore in 2025. The subsidiary serves as a hub for international partnerships, talent recruitment, and corporate operations.
The Singapore entity forms part of the company’s structure for supporting international expansion. Its role includes helping DigiPlus develop partnerships and recruit talent while managing corporate activities connected to its overseas plans.
The appointment of Teneo adds external strategic advice to this expansion framework. The advisory firm will help DigiPlus review potential opportunities and risks as the operator works across Brazil, South Africa, and a possible New Zealand market.
Philippine Brands Remain Active
DigiPlus continues to operate BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone in the Philippines. These brands remain part of the company’s domestic digital gaming business as it develops operations overseas.
For now, the company is pursuing international growth through existing licences in Brazil and South Africa, while seeking a possible licence in New Zealand. With Teneo serving as strategic adviser, DigiPlus will assess market conditions, regulatory requirements, and business opportunities across its expanding overseas portfolio.
