The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation has received ISO 9001:2015 certification for 16 Casino Filipino sites and branches. The certification highlights the agency’s adoption of internationally recognised quality standards across selected locations.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco received the certification from DQS Certification Phils. Inc. during an awarding ceremony on Aug. 13. The event took place in the PAGCOR Corporate Office located in Pasay City.
The certification came after surveillance audits, which were done from March 2 to March 5, 2026, and March 9 to March 10, 2026. These audits were done in all 16 locations where Casino Filipino is found in the certification process.
Certified Casino Filipino Locations
The sites that are certified include Casino Filipino Mactan, Venezia, Calamba, Town Center, Premier, Apo View, El Rancho, Fuente, Subic Bay Yacht Club, Tropicana, Adriatico, Grand Imperial Gensan, Iloilo, Oriental Pavilion, Leisure World, and Cagayan Valley.
These are located in different parts of the Philippines and form a collection of branches of Casino Filipino, which run under the operations of PAGCOR. The certification applies to the listed locations and forms part of the agency’s quality management efforts.
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management systems. According to PAGCOR, the certification is an indication of their dedication to improving their performance using standards and processes.
Focus On Systems And Processes
Tengco described the certification as another milestone for PAGCOR. He attributed the achievement to the work of the agency’s personnel and their collective effort to raise operational standards.
He also said the certification should support continued improvements in PAGCOR’s systems and processes. The ISO framework provides a structure for strengthening procedures, improving efficiency, and promoting consistency and accountability in the delivery of the agency’s mandate.
The certification process required the 16 locations to undergo surveillance audits. These assessments reviewed the sites covered by the certification and supported the award issued by DQS Certification Phils. Inc.
Environmental Responsibilities Included
Tengco also called on PAGCOR personnel to support the implementation of the agency’s Quality and Environmental Management System. He linked the quality work with PAGCOR’s environmental sustainability initiatives.
The agency said quality and environmental responsibility should remain part of its continuing work. Personnel were encouraged to contribute to these efforts as PAGCOR applied the management system across its operations.
The source announcement did not provide further details about specific environmental projects or operational changes introduced at the certified Casino Filipino sites. It stated that the certification is connected to PAGCOR’s quality and environmental management efforts.
Certification Valid Until 2029
The ISO 9001:2015 certification for the 16 Casino Filipino sites is valid until March 22, 2029. Its continued validity is subject to the completion of annual surveillance audits.
The annual reviews will allow the certification body to continue assessing whether the covered sites meet the relevant requirements. For PAGCOR, the certification establishes a formal period for maintaining the quality standards recognized through the award.
With the certification now covering 16 locations, PAGCOR has added another milestone to its operational quality programme. The agency will continue implementing its quality and environmental management system while the certified sites remain subject to annual review through 2029.
The certification period gives the agency a defined schedule for maintaining the standards across the listed branches.
