Jay Chun has increased his stake in Hong Kong-listed Paradise Entertainment Ltd to 65.36% after a series of share purchases made from late March through last week. Share disclosure records filed with the Hong Kong bourse show the chairman and managing director added to his holding over several months, lifting his long position from 60.00% on March 27.
Share Buying Through June
According to the disclosure records, Mr Chun carried out 3 share purchases in late March, followed by 18 in April and another 18 in May. He then made 15 more purchases during June up to last week. Across the full period, the transactions pushed up his ownership in the casino technology firm in steady increments.
In total, the Paradise Entertainment boss spent about HK$32.88 million, or US$4.2 million, on the shares. The filings indicate that his buying activity continued through a period in which the company’s stock price had already fallen to a yearly low before beginning to recover.
Stock Recovery After March Low
Paradise Entertainment’s lowest trading point year to date came at market close on March 24, when the shares stood at HK$0.435. This was just prior to the announcement of the company’s financial performance for 2025.
The company posted a 63.5% decrease in annual profit from the previous year, ending with a profit of HK$139.4 million for the year. This was attributed largely to the closure of its Macau satellite casino due to new city regulations.
Since then, the shares have moved higher. Paradise Entertainment was trading at HK$0.770 per share at market close on Friday, June 26, which was about 77.0% above the March 24 low.
Wider Business Direction
Paradise Entertainment is the parent of Macau-based electronic casino games specialist LT Game Ltd. The company has been expanding its gaming product lineup and promoting its reach beyond Macau, according to earlier corporate commentary.
That broader strategy has continued in recent weeks. Last week, Paradise Entertainment said a subsidiary had become an approved manufacturer in Singapore, adding another market recognition to the group’s regional plans.
The latest share purchases by Mr Chun come against that backdrop of business adjustments and overseas expansion efforts. While the company has been navigating the impact of changes in Macau, it has also been working to grow its technology and gaming footprint in other markets.
Ownership And Market Position
Mr Chun’s increased holding now gives him a larger stake in a company that has been working through both operational change and market repositioning. His transactions over the past 3 months show sustained buying interest even after the company’s lower trading levels earlier this year.
With his long position now at 65.36%, the Paradise Entertainment chairman has strengthened his control of the listed firm while the company continues to manage its transition away from the Macau satellite casino business and toward wider gaming technology opportunities.
