18 December 2025 – Yggdrasil has welcomed Slightly Edgy, a next-generation challenger studio, into its YGG Masters program. As part of the partnership, Slightly Edgy will also become a key pilot partner for Game in a Box™, Yggdrasil’s game development tool.
Built for the digital-native player, Slightly Edgy develops slot experiences shaped by three core values: Velocity, Respect the Player, and Break the Pattern. These principles are designed to reject repetition and deliver a faster, sharper, and more intentional form of slot gameplay.
The studio’s content portfolio is rooted in the preferences of digital-native slot players, addressing demand for high-volatility, fast-paced experiences from creator-led studios worldwide. Slightly Edgy’s design philosophy focuses on sleek dark-mode aesthetics, bold interfaces, inventive mechanics, and adrenaline-charged moments intended to be shared within player communities.
As a Game in a Box™ pilot studio, Slightly Edgy will contribute to shaping how the framework supports challenger brands by streamlining development, simplifying integration, and enabling studios to focus on creativity.
Slightly Edgy’s first title as part of the YGG Masters program, Toothless Smile, is scheduled to launch in March 2026 and will be fully developed using Game in a Box™ technology.
