Dec. 22, 2025 — Yggdrasil has expanded its YGG Masters partner programme with the addition of Nordic independent studio Lakka Studios, becoming the 20th studio to join the roster. The move strengthens Yggdrasil’s third-party content pipeline as it continues to broaden the range of games available to operator partners worldwide.
Lakka Studios joins the Masters catalogue with what Yggdrasil described as a “Nordic spirit” creative identity, and will also be an early adopter of Yggdrasil’s Game in a Box™ development environment. The platform is designed to streamline development and shorten the route to market through Yggdrasil’s distribution network.
A new studio joins as YGG Masters pushes past 20 partners
Yggdrasil uses YGG Masters to onboard independent studios that develop games using Yggdrasil’s technology and distribution infrastructure. The programme has continued to add partners across 2024 and 2025, with several studios publicly adopting the Game in a Box tooling.
With Lakka Studios joining as the 20th partner, Yggdrasil is positioning Masters as a curated roster. The goal is to introduce greater creative variety while maintaining a consistent build-and-launch framework across the network.
What Lakka Studios brings to the catalogue
Yggdrasil said Lakka Studios will bring a distinct Nordic identity built around clever mechanics, polished visuals, and player-first design. The studio’s lighter, more playful style is intended to add variety for operators looking to diversify lobbies without compromising on production standards.
Zoe Bird, Head of Masters at Yggdrasil, said the studio fits the programme’s direction and is expected to perform well across multiple markets.

As part of the partnership, Lakka Studios will adopt Game in a Box™, which is built to reduce friction between concept, development, compliance-readiness, and distribution. Lakka Studios said the programme gives it the technical support and foundation needed to scale its creative output.
