See the similarities? These slots attracted a lot of money, and Northern lights Gaming thought of making a new slot called Unusual Suspects Cartel Cash, a somewhat expected title.
A Brief Overview
Unusual Suspects Cartel Cash is placed in sunny Mexico, and the protagonist is Max Spinwell who goes against the infamous cartels, and has hidden in his pocket free spins feature but shows Link&Win 4Tune round.
This slot gives a new perspective to the country. Everything is colorful, moving from an urban setting to a gangster-like villa. A lot of bad guys are residing there, and Max will fight them all. This is a really vibrant game, and Northern Lights hired a live band to take over the music part of it.
The slot allows up to 4 matrices in the bonus round, but in the base game, only one, and it has been reduced to that. The game utilizes 5 reels in combination with 10 paylines for landing line wins. What Does Unusual Suspects Cartel Cash Have to Offer?
This slot is overflowing with features. Only some of them are Coin symbols, Sticky Frames, multipliers, Detectives, Big Bosses, Outlaw symbols, a Drive-By Bonus, a Link&Win 4Tune round instead of free spins, and buys. The slot has something known as Silver coins which land with a multiplier value of up to 2.8x the bet, and Gold coins just land with a multiplier value of over 2.8x, and these hit in the base game and in the Link&Win 4Tune feature. The Silver ones can come up the ladder and become Gold coins by Coin Modifier.
Frames
When you’re in the base game you’ll notice that Coins and wilds that land leave behind an x1 Sticky Frame. That Sticky Frame multiplier can rise up to x5 by landing the important symbols in them. There are also two oversized Gold Frames on reels 2 and 4. Basically, during the Link&Win 4Tune feature, each set of reels has its own Oversized Frames.
Big Boss Wilds
These fun symbols only appear on the reel 4 Oversized Frame, and the Big Boss adds wins to all Sticky Frames. Any multiplier that lands is applied to that win, and all Sticky Frames are removed when the feature ends. The Big Boss is wild and only base game-focused.
Bonus
Detective Coin Bonus symbols only appear on the second reel Oversized Frame. When they appear, they add Coins to those Sticky Frames that are coinless, and any multiplier values that land are applied to the Coins. Our Detective then collects and awards all Coin values. After he’s done, all Sticky Frames are removed at the end of the feature. The Detective is Wild in two contexts.
There is a Drive-By Bonus which randomly triggers in the base game, and you can respin an Oversized Frame for a chance to land a Detective or a Big Boss symbol.
Outlaw Symbols
These appear on the reel 4 Outsized Frame only while the Link&Win 4Tune feature is up. Outlaw symbols are Coin modifiers:
- Multiply All – multiplies all Coins on its reel set by x2 to x10.
- Multiply One – multiplies only 1 Coin on its reel set by x2 to x10.
- Adder – this one increases 1 coin on its reel set by 0.2x to 10x, and it is on the following spins that the Coin’s value increases by the same amount.
- Collector – collects and combines all Coins on its reel set into 1 Coin. It doesn’t apply to Adder Coins.
Link&Win 4Tune
The Boost Bar collects the Diamond overlay tokens when they appear on the reels. The Link&Win 4Tune feature is set off when the bar is filled with 50 tokens, then the reel set 1 and 2 are unlocked. The bar resets after the bonus round is completed.
What triggers the regular Link&Win 4Tune is landing the Detective and the Big Boss. It begins with only one reel set active, and then reel sets 2 to 4 can be unlocked. 3 respins are awarded to each unlocked reel set. When this happens, ONly Coins, blanks, Detective, and Outlaw symbols may land. If a non-blank symbol lands, the respin count on that reel set comes back to 3. If you land Detective and Outlaw on the same reel set, you unlock the next one: Reelset 1 – x1 multiplier, 20x Mini Jackpot, Reelset 2 – x2 multiplier, 50x Minor Jackpot, Reelset 3 – x3 multiplier, 500x Major Jackpot, and Reelset 4 – x5 multiplier, 5,000x Grand Jackpot.
When the bonus is done, the awards from the reel set are multiplied by the fitting jackpot. Filling a set of reels with Coins triggers its own jackpot, and only one jackpot may be awarded.
