Two bids for New York casino development passed their tests before the local community advisory committees and moved forward in the contest for highly prized state casino licenses. MGM Resorts’ Empire City Casino in Yonkers and Genting Group’s Resorts World at the Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens both won unanimous approvals from their advisory boards, a major endorsement in the licensing process.
