International iGaming operator Tonybet will continue its involvement with Irish Champions Festival in 2026, returning as title sponsor of the Group 2 Tonybet Solonaway Stakes at Leopardstown Racecourse.
The race will take place on Saturday, 12 September, marking the third consecutive year that Tonybet has sponsored the Solonaway Stakes.
Tonybet Extends Irish Racing Partnership
The renewed sponsorship continues Tonybet’s association with Irish racing and will once again see the operator put its name to one of the races on the opening day of Irish Champions Festival.
Tonybet is also planning a significant brand presence at Leopardstown throughout the day, including a bespoke trophy commissioned specifically for the 2026 Tonybet Solonaway Stakes.
Irish football legend Tony Cascarino will present the trophy to the winning connections following the race.
Cascarino, the former Republic of Ireland striker, will also participate in a live Q&A session at Leopardstown during the afternoon, providing racegoers with an opportunity to hear from him between races.
Solonaway Stakes Joins Major Leopardstown Card
The Group 2 Tonybet Solonaway Stakes will feature on a major opening-day programme at Leopardstown, headlined by the Group 1 Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes.
The Irish Champion Stakes is one of Ireland’s richest races and is regarded as one of the most prestigious contests in international Flat racing.
The opening day of Irish Champions Festival will bring together leading horses, trainers and jockeys from international Flat racing, alongside live music, premium hospitality and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
The festival will then move to The Curragh on Sunday, 13 September, where the programme will feature the Comer Group International Irish St Leger.
Dmitry Arabuli, CEO of Tonybet, said:
“Irish racing inspires a loyalty and passion that very few sports can match, and nowhere is that clearer than at Leopardstown on the opening day of Irish Champions Festival. Sponsoring the Solonaway Stakes for a third consecutive year means a great deal to us. The race has already given us two memorable renewals, and with the opening day now carrying three Group 1 contests, the 2026 festival promises to be the strongest yet. Tonybet is honoured to play its part in a great sporting weekend, and we look forward to 12 September.”
Irish Champions Festival Enters 13th Year
Irish Champions Festival is now in its 13th year and serves as a showcase for the Irish Flat racing season.
More than €5 million in prize money will be available across the weekend, with an international field expected to compete across Leopardstown and The Curragh.
