Tonybet, an international iGaming operator founded in 2011 and headquartered in Riga, has joined the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA), strengthening its position in one of its fastest-growing markets.
The company, which is licensed in Ontario, announced that the membership marks another step in its long-term commitment to Canada. According to Tonybet, the move reflects a broader strategy centered on regulatory compliance, responsible gaming, and player protection.
Doubling down on Canada
Since entering the Canadian market, Tonybet has focused on building a localized offering tailored to player preferences. This includes region-specific sports betting markets, adapted promotions, and dedicated customer support.
The company now sees its CGA membership as a natural extension of this approach — aligning itself with an organization that actively promotes a sustainable and well-regulated gaming ecosystem.
“Joining the Canadian Gaming Association reflects our belief that the long-term success of regulated gaming in Canada depends on operators and regulators working together,” said Dmitry Arabuli, CEO of Tonybet.
He highlighted Canada as one of the company’s strongest growth markets, revealing that registrations nearly doubled in 2025.
“This growth is driven by localized operations, integrated compliance, and prioritising player protection. The CGA advances the same principles across the industry,” Arabuli added.
Industry collaboration remains key
The Canadian Gaming Association welcomed Tonybet’s entry, pointing to the importance of collaboration as the market continues to evolve.
“We are pleased to welcome Tonybet to the Canadian Gaming Association,” said Paul Burns, President & CEO of the CGA.
“Their presence in Canada reflects the continued momentum of the regulated market. As the industry evolves, collaboration across operators and stakeholders remains critical.”
The CGA is the national trade association representing leading operators and suppliers across Canada’s gaming, sports betting, eSports, and lottery sectors. Its mandate is to support the development of a regulated, responsible, and sustainable industry through collaboration, education, and advocacy.
A growing regulated market
Canada — and particularly Ontario — has become one of the most closely watched regulated iGaming markets globally. The entry of new operators and continued expansion underline the sector’s rapid development.
By joining the CGA, Tonybet positions itself closer to key stakeholders and decision-makers, while also contributing to shaping the future of the regulated landscape.
The operator stated that it looks forward to working alongside other members to support high industry standards and responsible gaming initiatives across the country.
