Two years after securing approval from the New York Gaming Commission, TheLotter US is pulling out of the state. The company confirmed it will suspend its New York courier service as part of a broader plan to streamline operations and redirect resources toward growth in other parts of the country.
Jessica Griggs, head of marketing for TheLotter US, called the move a “difficult decision” but said it allows the company to focus on strengthening its foothold in Arizona, Oregon, and Minnesota while preparing for new launches elsewhere.
Another exit for TheLotter
TheLotter’s decision to leave New York comes only a few months after it announced a similar withdrawal from New Jersey, narrowing its U.S. operations to just three states.
“While we are proud to have served players in New York, this strategic shift enables us to focus on markets where we can grow more efficiently and deliver the best possible experience,” Griggs added. “By concentrating our efforts, we’re positioning ourselves for sustainable expansion across the country.”
The company said its New York platform will stop taking orders on January 29, 2026, with all active subscriptions and multi‑draw packages canceled and refunded.
Players in New York have already been told about the changes and given until April 29 to withdraw any remaining funds. Those who miss the deadline will still be able to reach out to customer service for help.
Despite the pullback, TheLotter has stressed confidence in its US future. The company pointed to the launch of its redesigned website, which it says will support growth and improve the player experience.
