Stake says it has distributed more than $14 billion in cash bonuses to its VIP players over the past six years, offering one of the clearest looks yet at how much the crypto casino spends to retain its highest-value customers.
The figures were published by co-founder Ed Craven, who argued that Stake changed the direction of online casino loyalty programs when it rolled out features such as daily reloads, weekly boosts and monthly bonuses in 2019. Those mechanics, he suggested, have since become commonplace across the industry.
Inside Stake’s VIP Rewards Program
According to the breakdown, the largest portion of the reported payouts came from manual bonuses issued by VIP managers, which totaled $6.39 billion. Another $4.06 billion was distributed through coupons, while reload bonuses accounted for $2.04 billion.
The remaining categories included $975 million in rakeback, $213 million in automated webhook credits and $191 million paid through races and betting-volume competitions.
Altogether, the categories add up to more than $14 billion in rewards since 2019. The figures were released by Stake and were not accompanied by financial records or third-party verification explaining how the totals were calculated.
The disclosure nevertheless offers a rare indication of the scale of spending behind VIP retention in the crypto gambling sector. High-volume players have become increasingly valuable to operators, with loyalty programs evolving far beyond traditional cashback offers into layered systems of bonuses, reloads and personalized rewards.
Stake has grown into one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency casino platforms, and its VIP program remains a central part of that strategy. While the latest figures cannot be independently verified, they provide an unusually detailed snapshot of the incentives the company says it has offered its premium customers over the past six years.
