SeuBet Embraces AI and 90s Horror Aesthetics to Challenge Gambling Myths

Taking a bold step to distance itself from misleading rumors still surrounding the betting world, SeuBet launched a new campaign that combines 90s slasher movie imagery with artificial intelligence to create controversy around responsible gambling. Launched on a Friday the 13th—specifically selected for its culturally charged superstition—the campaign shifts away from the promise of guaranteed wins and extraterrestrial recipes, which are widely used in betting circles, and delivers an astute and creative message about gambling with integrity and decency.

AI-Driven Narrative with a Slasher Twist

Rather than adopting conventional advertising practices, SeuBet’s marketing team opted for a story-driven campaign developed using only generative AI technology such as Flow by Google and killing.ia. From scripting and storyboarding to visual material, everything was accomplished using AI, allowing the brand to experiment with ambitious creative directions without the resource-heavy processes of conventional production.

The campaign makes industry clichés into real monsters by using the slasher genre. Images and story mimic familiar horror tropes: a lone gambler attempting to outsmart nightmare creatures that represent spurious myths like “lucky betting times,” “bulletproof methods,” and “tipster experts.” Such tropes, typically manipulated by the industry, are turned into sinister villains.

Clarity Over Illusion

At the heart of the campaign is SeuBet’s mascot, a capybara called SEU BET, who embodies transparency, community, and honest bets. Behind the monstrous myths, the bettor flees, the capybara harbors—a visual fable for SeuBet’s central message: betting must be fun, informed, and without deceit.

Fabricio Nunez, SeuBet’s Marketing Head, explains: “It’s not a matter of demonizing gambling—it’s a matter of respecting the bettor. No tricks, no cheating. Just a fair place where people can make intelligent decisions and enjoy the game aware.”

Steering Clear of Industry Comparison, Self-Validation

While the campaign playfully nods towards other betting houses’ branding moves—precisely their mascots—it does not provoke comparisons. Instead, it tends to reaffirm SeuBet’s positioning and identity. The goal was to create a creative, engaging, and provocative work that adds value to the conversation instead of provoking competition.

Johnata Pereira, Creative Lead for SeuBet, added as well: “A.I. was never an endpoint. It was a means of facilitating quicker delivery and more expansive storytelling. This campaign showcases how technology can be used as a creative partner in creating differentiated brand experiences.”

Organic Growth Through Community Engagement

The campaign was launched in phases on SeuBet’s major platforms—Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter/X—without an overt focus on conversions. The objective was to get further into its audience. Karlus Danieu and Gabadão were among the influencers who hyped the campaign by exploring mystical ideas about the number 13 in sports, infusing humor and common ground in the messaging.

Besides the theme-based memes, internet-esque content, and interactivity of posts by communities, SeuBet also included special in-platform experiences like thematic mini-games and limited-period Friday bonuses. These were all meant to foster a sense of belonging to a community and collective culture among the bettors without them using pressure to bet.

A Visual Manifesto for Change

Lastly, SeuBet’s Friday the 13th activation is a visual manifesto—a satire of the noise in the betting ecosystem and an authoritative articulation of the brand’s values. It’s an attempt to rebalance trust, to fight misinformation, and to implore the betting public to claim its experience.

“We want to keep on creating a place where members feel that the site belongs to them, not to empty promises or deceitful pretenses. The tone is set by the community. Our job is to listen and respond with clarity, imagination, and respect,” Nunez concludes.
