According to the local authorities, the gambling complex of Primorye in the eastern part of Russia received as many as 856,500 guests in 2025. This number is roughly 12.2% higher than in the previous year and is the fifth consecutive year that has witnessed an increase in numbers for this gambling zone that goes by the name of Primorye Integrated Entertainment Zone as well.
Numbers of Guests Continued Growing
Primorye Krai Development Corporation, a government enterprise, said the number of tourists was more than last year’s figure of 763,200. In addition to two casino resorts, the zone has shown its consistent performance with increasing tourist flows due to the attraction for locals and foreigners alike.
Of the 2025 number, around 6% were foreign guests from Central Asia, making a total of 50,200 guests. Other foreign guests to visit the casino came from the Asia-Pacific region, including South Korea, Vietnam, China, and Japan, amounting to 48,100 guests, a rise of 9% over the year ago.
According to the development corporation, domestic tourism in this region is also growing. As reported by Julia Yakush, the department head of investment projects at the corporation, increased domestic tourism is seen due to increased expenses and restrictions on exit from the country, as seen by some individuals in Russia.
Resort Activity at Primorye
The Primorye gambling zone is located about 50 kilometres from Vladivostok, Russia’s Pacific port city. At present, 2 casino resorts are operating there.
Tigre de Cristal is the first of the 2 and is majority-owned by Summit Ascent Holdings Ltd, which is controlled by LET Group Holdings Ltd. Last July, Summit Ascent said the property had returned to profit as it focused on the domestic mass market in Russia.
The second resort, Shambala, is operated by Shambala CJSC. In addition to opening later than Tigre de Cristal, this casino has also seen its fair share of construction for the expansion process. In June of the previous year, there were reports that construction on Phase 2 had already begun and that the building would be fully completed by 2028.
Fifth Year Of Expansion
The result recorded for 2025 marks five years of consecutive visitor growth for the Primorye gambling area. This means that the region is still popular not only among tourists but also to the casino resort visitors.
The reasons cited for the increase in tourists visiting this gambling area include not only the changing nature of travel but also the appeal of the casinos themselves. As a gambling zone in Russia, Primorye is known for hosting the two casinos of Tigre de Cristal and Shambala.
