Pixbet Gets Green Light While Caixa and Grupo Silvio Santos Prepare for Launch

Recent actions from important participants Pixbet, Caixa Loterias, and Grupo Silvio Santos show the industry’s fast development and the rising interest in fixed-odds betting as Brazil continues to define its controlled gambling market. The scene is set for a revolutionary year in Brazil’s iGaming and sports betting sector as new licenses are issued and big brands get ready for launch.

Pixbet Receives Official Approval to Operate Until 2030

Under a significant regulatory milestone, the Ministry of Finance officially approved Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas Ltda to run fixed-odds betting in Brazil via its Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA). Published in the Diário Oficial da União using Ordinance SPA/MF Nº 806 on April 15, 2025, the approval permits Pixbet to engage in online gaming operations and sports betting across physical and digital venues.

Including the brands Pixbet, FlaBet, and Bet da Sorte, this authorization is good until January 5, 2030. Having been cleared to run in Brazil’s regulated betting scene, these platforms also enjoy a competitive advantage as early movers in this developing market.

By legalizing and regulating gambling businesses, the action strengthens the government’s plan to improve consumer protection and create new income streams for both operators and the state.

Caixa Loterias Clarifies Temporary Suspension Status

Whereas Pixbet has had a consistent regulatory path, Caixa Loterias, a subcompany of the state-owned Caixa Econômica Federal, experienced a brief halt, impacting its branding initiatives for the Betcaixa, Megabet, and Xbet Caixa channels.

Caixa, meanwhile, moved quickly to fix things in an official statement. The bank said that the period of suspension started under Ordinance SPA/MF 787/2025 does not affect its launch plans as its betting activities had not started.

The CAIXA informs that it has been structuring its fixed-odds betting operation since the beginning of the regulation process.” Specific deadlines for fulfilling regulatory criteria are included in the temporary approval received on December 30, 2024 (Ordinance SPA/MF 2. 104/2024).

Emphasized by Caixa is that the 90-day suspension is part of this provisional timetable and that the business is on course for its next release. No active operations were stopped, and Caixa Loterias’ other corporate activities go on as normal.

Grupo Silvio Santos Nears Market Entry with TQJ

Another interesting change is with Todos Querem Jogar (TQJ), a business in which Grupo Silvio Santos owns a small ownership via Sisan Participações. With the SPA, TQJ made a formal statement drawing attention to its licensing process advancement.

TQJ is targeting a second-half 2025 launch, unlike other operators now live or about to go live. By paying the mandatory licensing charge within the government’s timeframe, the company has now achieved one of the essential regulatory objectives.

Because of TQJ’s ongoing preparations, its brief listing as “suspended” in the Ministry’s records reflects not a result of non-compliance. The firm said it has not yet worked out the operational steps required to start providing betting services.

TQJ is dedicated to player protection, integrity, and Responsible Gambling, hence it will fulfill all legal and operational demands.

Strong supporters of the regulation of the market, Grupo Silvio Santos noted that a reliable, competitive gaming environment has long-term economic and social advantages.

A Growing and Regulated Future

These changes point to a developing and competitive industry as Brazil prepares to fully implement its fixed-odds betting system. SPA’s regulatory measures guarantee player safety and national control while also creating opportunities for honest, accountable operators to flourish.

Leading the charge, companies like Pixbet and others like Caixa and TQJ, ready for launch indicate that the Brazilian betting market is set for strong development, increased openness, and improved consumer confidence in 2025 and beyond.
