The Brazilian Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA–MF) has officially authorized Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas Ltda. to rename its “Flabet” brand to the new name “Ganheibet.” The move was made public in the Diário Oficial da União (DOU) on Thursday, October 16, 2025, through Portaria SPA/MF No. 2.326/2025, signed by the Acting Secretary Daniele Correa Cardoso.
Regulatory Approval and Brand Portfolio
The authorization allows Pixbet to carry forward its rebranding in line with full adherence to the prevailing betting rules and regulations of Brazil. The company’s other brands, Pixbet (pix.bet.br) and Bet Da Sorte (betdasorte.bet.br), will continue operating in parallel under physical and virtual modes of betting.
This rebranding is part of a string of regulatory shifts that accompany Brazil’s evolving online gaming and sports betting landscape. The SPA–MF still oversees all of the licensed operators to ensure continued adherence to the Lei das Apostas de Quota Fixa, Brazil’s betting platform regulation.
To date, mid-October 2025, the SPA–MF reports 81 regularized businesses and 83 operating permits for providing fixed-odds betting and online gaming services in Brazil. Of these, 78 are fully regularized, while five operate under Federal Court approval, totaling 184 approved brands.
The End of the Flamengo Sponsorship
Pixbet’s rebranding coincides with a dramatic event in the world of football sponsorship in Brazil. One of the country’s best football clubs, Flamengo, in early August of 2025, made known the cancellation of its master sponsorship contract with Pixbet.
Initially signed in 2024 and scheduled to run until 2027, the transfer was called off by both parties in August 2025. The sides confirmed that the transfer was amicable and agreed upon, being a policy change in terms of branding as opposed to a split.
Flabat, a Pixbet brand with a separate licensing agreement with Flamengo, lost its sponsorship as well. Though the brand remained active for a brief period following the end of the sponsorship, the licensing agreement was ultimately terminated along with the original contract.
Market Context and Brand Strategy
Pixbet’s action to rename itself from Flabet to Ganheibet appears to be in line with the company’s effort to rebuild its brand image and rebrand itself in the cutthroat betting world. The move may also be intended to break away from previous sponsorship partner relationships and operate in accordance with shifting market realities in Brazil’s increasingly constricting regulatory environment.
The company remains one of Brazil’s most recognized betting firms, with multiple active brands and domains. With rebranding, Pixbet tries to retain its presence in online and retail betting markets while aligning with evolving government policies and transparency requirements.
A Growing and Regulated Betting Market
The gambling business in Brazil has experienced explosive expansion following regulatory enforcement by the Ministry of Finance at the beginning of 2025. The SPA–MF has focused on regularizing operators, implementing compliance, and ensuring greater transparency to foster a sustainable and competitive market.
The approval of rebranding applications, Pixbet’s transformation into Ganheibet, highlights the SPA–MF’s ongoing administrative oversight to allow the market flexibility while ensuring consumer protection as well as fiscal responsibility.
As Brazil’s gambling industry matures in terms of law, more rebranding, repositioning, and consolidation would be expected. Companies like Pixbet are still navigating this period of transition, making room for corporate flexibility while maintaining regulatory compliance, the linchpin to the sustained growth and legitimacy of a fast-evolving marketplace.
In the coming months, the Ministry of Finance will be releasing authorizations and reports on approved operators in its open-minded manner of regulating one of Latin America’s most dynamic gambling industries.
