Philippine-based gaming technology firm PhilWeb Corporation has secured accreditation under PAGCOR’s new framework for gaming affiliates and support service providers, adding another company to the list of industry participants aligning with the regulator’s updated rules. PhilWeb, in its filing with the PSE, said that it is now able to provide technology and operating support services to licensed gaming operators within PAGCOR’s regulated system. The company also said that it is recognized for its proven capabilities in platform technology and system integration.
The development comes as the Philippine gaming sector moves toward a stricter compliance environment. As reported by Inside Asian Gaming, suppliers across the industry must be fully accredited by April 1, 2026, or risk being declared illegal and shut down. That deadline has created a strong incentive for firms with exposure to the local gaming supply chain to secure their regulatory standing before the cutoff.
Partnerships Support Accreditation Case
PhilWeb pointed to recent partnerships as evidence of its ability to operate within the regulated market. The company said it has already demonstrated its capabilities through agreements with integrated resorts Hann Casino Resort and Okada Manila, where it supports their regulated online gaming platforms through platform operations, system integration, and infrastructure services.
Those arrangements have given PhilWeb a visible role in the delivery of online gaming support services tied to licensed operators. The company said the work shows it can operate across both the technology and operational sides of the sector, while remaining within PAGCOR’s rules. By highlighting those partnerships in its filing, PhilWeb framed the accreditation as a formal recognition of services it has already been delivering.
Nationwide Infrastructure and Scalable Systems
PhilWeb also pointed to its collaboration with FBM Philippines as another example of its broader technical reach. The company explained that the partnership is indicative of its capacity to deliver scalable platform solutions through its nationwide network of gaming venues.
The emphasis on infrastructure seems to be at the heart of the new positioning of PhilWeb under the PAGCOR structure. Rather than limiting its role to a single property or operator, the company is presenting itself as a support provider able to work across multiple venues and systems. The nationwide angle also suggests that its services are intended to function across a broader operating footprint, not just in isolated online gaming platforms.
Policy Discussions Shape Next Phase
Beyond accreditation and commercial partnerships, PhilWeb said it is also taking part in industry technical working discussions on new regulations for the Philippines’ eGames sector. The company stated that it is working with the regulators and other stakeholders in the industry as it moves towards the development of new standards that seek to promote transparency and better governance in the industry.
