Pay4Fun earned the second-place prize within the Best Fintechs 2025 Award, organized by Fincatch, in the payment solutions segment. This award further establishes the company’s importance in the digital financial landscape of Brazil, thus emphasizing the success that the company’s products/services have exhibited during the past year.
The award has criteria that judge fintechs based on their technicality, market influence, as well as user perception. The ranking of the award thus has a greater meaning as it not only relies on metrics within the organization but also accounts for the public voting process.
Pay4Fun’s position within the rankings is a testament to its commitment to improving efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. In such a competitive and dynamic realm as financial markets, harmony between organizational strategy and values is now more essential than ever for successful and relevant organizations. This is becoming increasingly important as Pay4Fun keeps striving to improve.
Strategic Positioning in a Competitive Market
Secondly, the fact that Pay4Fun came second indicates the ability to function within a scenario where there is an increasing level of regulation and the demand for more from partners and end-users. In the field of iGaming payments, being dependable is no longer a matter of preference; rather, it has become a requirement.
While Pay4Fun focuses on scalable infrastructure and regulatory compliance, the company has been able to establish itself as a pertinent payment solution provider within industries that require strong transaction screening, transparency, and consumer protection.
New Data Reveals the Size of Brazil’s Betting Ecosystem
At the same time as this award-winning success, new information has emerged that sheds some light on the general industry environment in which Pay4Fun operates. It has been revealed by the Ministry of Finance in Brazil that in 2025, there were 25 million active gamblers in the country.
Such numbers were obtained by Pay4Fun through a public response from the Brazilian Ministry, in connection with a request filed through Brazil’s Freedom of Information Law (Lei de Acesso à Informação – LAI). This information reveals information about the demographic makeup of gamblers and the magnitude of such economic activity that is currently being produced through regulated betting.
According to the Ministry, 68.3% of active bettors are men, while 31.7% are women. The Secretariat of Prizes and Bets clarified that age group segmentation has not yet been fully consolidated and that releasing such details would require additional data processing beyond the legally established timeframe.
Revenue Generation and Fiscal Impact
According to these same official statistics, GGR for licensed gaming operators during the period under study amounted to R$27.7 billion. Based on GGR, the federal authority collected an amount of R$3.327 billion as federal taxes, which is equivalent to the 12% tax rate charged on GGR, as stipulated by current law.
Leonardo Baptista commented on the relevance of these figures, stating: “The new data shows the true scale of the regulated market in Brazil. When the country sheds light on figures such as tax revenue, bettor profiles, and the destination of resources, the entire ecosystem benefits: the government collects more, consumers gain greater security, and serious companies can operate in a competitive and predictable environment.”
Connecting Fintech Performance and Market Maturity
The fact that Pay4Fun was recognized in the Best Fintechs 2025 Award and the publishing of official data on the betting market are indicative of the maturation process in the regulated Brazilian market. Payment services are vital elements in making the market secure and enabling trust in the protected ecosystem.
In this respect, the performance at Pay4Fun is representative not only of its success, but its ability to be integrated into a market where there is an increasing appreciation for governance, for transparency in data, and responsible expansion.
