Octoplay has entered Alberta’s newly regulated iGaming market, launching with seven operators on the first day of the province’s market opening.
The studio went live simultaneously with BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings, Betty, Rush Street Interactive, PENN and bet365 on September 21. The coordinated launch represents Octoplay’s largest market entry to date and places the company among the first suppliers operating in Alberta’s regulated market.
Alberta Becomes Octoplay’s 20th Regulated Market
Octoplay’s Alberta debut follows the company securing a conditional licence for the province in June 2025, ahead of the opening of the regulated market.
Alberta is now the studio’s 20th regulated market. Octoplay is also operational across the United Kingdom, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ontario, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Malta, Slovakia, Georgia and Brazil.

Octoplay Expands North American Presence
The Alberta launch continues Octoplay’s expansion across North America, which began with its entry into Ontario in 2023.
The company subsequently made its US debut in New Jersey with BetMGM before expanding into Michigan in December 2025. Its Michigan entry saw Octoplay launch simultaneously with BetMGM, FanDuel, Fanatics and Rush Street Interactive.
With seven operators live from the opening day of Alberta’s regulated market, the province becomes Octoplay’s fourth active regulated market in North America and its largest coordinated state entry to date.
