New era for Stake: Engine goes industry-wide with 1,000+ creators ready to build what could become the largest content pipeline in the industry

Stake has announced that its Stake Engine platform has been renamed Engine as the company opens the technology and its creator ecosystem to betting and gaming operators across the wider iGaming industry.

Previously focused on publishing exclusive game content for Stake, Engine will now make content created through the platform available to operators industry-wide through a single integration.

Games developed on Engine have so far generated more than $23 billion in total turnover from over 9.7 billion bets placed.

Engine Opens Creator Ecosystem to Operators

The platform currently brings together more than 1,000 individual game creators, while more than 250 new titles are being produced each week.

Opening the ecosystem to other operators introduces a broader distribution model for the content created through Engine. Developers and creators can build games using the platform, while operator partners can access its expanding catalogue of titles.

All games distributed through Engine will use provably fair mechanics, allowing them to be independently verified.

Engine will also operate with a single standardised contract for operators and creators. Settlement across creators will be handled by Engine through one monthly invoice, while operators will retain the substantial majority of revenue generated.

Rather than providing operators with a fixed catalogue, the model is designed around an open and continuously expanding pipeline of games produced by Engine’s creator network.

Ed Craven: Engine Marks a New Chapter

Ed Craven, Co-Founder of Stake, commented:

“Engine has already proved that a creator-led community can create some truly fantastic, quality games, at scale. But what initially started as a way of removing the barriers to entry to game development has now grown into a content development Engine with enormous potential. Our evolution into Engine marks a new chapter in that growth journey.

“We’re building on that solid foundation that we’ve created and taking the Engine model beyond Stake. We want creators to be able to build new and exciting games, and broaden that reach to audiences across the industry. And for operators, this means access to a wealth of new and exciting original content and tools that they can use to build creator ecosystems of their own.

“With 1,000 creators on board, and hundreds of games being added to the pipeline every week, we believe that this will fundamentally change how casino content is created and distributed going forward.”

Engine Targets Faster Game Development and Distribution

Engine brings development, testing, approval, deployment, distribution and monetisation together within the same platform.

According to the company, a developer can move from an initial game concept to a live title in as little as 24 hours. Opening the platform to additional operators means games created through Engine can now potentially reach audiences beyond Stake.

Hayden Bruin, Head of Operations at Engine, added:

“The goal has always been to make building and launching games dramatically easier for developers. Engine brings the entire process together in one place – from development and testing through to approval, deployment, distribution and monetisation.

“We’ve already shown that a developer can go from an idea to a live game in as little as 24 hours. Now, by opening Engine to operators, that same game can have the potential to reach audiences far beyond a single platform.

“That changes the opportunity for creators significantly. Developers can spend more time building great games and less time dealing with fragmented technology, integrations and operational complexity, while operators gain access to a much broader and faster-moving source of original content.”
