Media Troopers Posts Strong Seasonal Growth Driven by NBA and World Cup Campaigns

16 July 2026 – Media Troopers, the digital and customer acquisition group, has reported strong seasonal growth in campaign performance and affiliate earnings following major sporting events, with increases recorded across traffic, player registrations, first-time depositors and affiliate revenue.

The company’s campaigns are designed to help operators reach new wagering audiences while supporting long-term brand growth through marketing strategies aligned with current betting trends. During the period, Media Troopers focused on two of the year’s biggest sporting events, the NBA Finals, held from June 3 to June 13, and the FIFA World Cup, running from June 11 to July 19, driving strong performance across its operator campaigns.

So far in 2026, Media Troopers has acquired more than 100,000 new depositing customers, representing a 60% increase compared to the previous year. Earlier in the year, the company also experienced a significant rise in betting activity during January, primarily driven by the Super Bowl.

Major Sporting Events Drive Betting Engagement

The NBA postseason generated strong betting interest across multiple markets, including game winners, point spreads, totals, player props, futures and live betting. Overall betting activity during the NBA campaign increased by 120% compared to the same period last year, reflecting higher levels of bettor engagement.

The FIFA World Cup also attracted significant global betting interest, allowing Media Troopers’ campaigns to reach a broader audience. The tournament’s expanded format, featuring 48 teams across 104 matches, alongside increased national team support and match-day betting, contributed to an 80% increase in betting activity compared to the previous year, when no World Cup was held.

Media Troopers noted that the World Cup generates more than 5 billion media engagements and an estimated $50 billion in sportsbook revenue.

“Major sports moments create a powerful combination of fan attention, betting intent, and acquisition opportunity,”

Media Troopers CEO Shmulik Segal.

“The NBA postseason and FIFA World Cup gave us two highly active campaign windows, and our early performance indicates that our localized, data-led approach helped operator partners capture meaningful demand.”
