The authorities in Macau have escalated enforcement operations for public security as the end of the year approaches, with the region embarking on a winter police operation to target law enforcement goals across the city. The Public Security Police Force had coordinated the winter security operation among police officers from various departments such as patrol police officers, intelligence police officers, specialist police officers, and traffic police officers. The strategy aimed to cover zones that experience a high flow of pedestrians and visitors during peak seasons, including the central area, NAPE, Northern Macau, and the Cotai Strip.
Two hundred and forty-four police officers took part in the operation and carried out stop-and-check activities and lawful inspections within the context of operational protocols.
