Londoner Macao Adds High-Limit Baccarat Zone at Grand Casino

Sands China Ltd has opened a new high-limit gaming zone at the Londoner Grand Casino, one of the two casinos at The Londoner Macao resort, adding another premium area to the Cotai property. The operator confirmed the launch to GGRAsia, with the new space already in place as part of the casino’s recent offering.

New Premium Area

The high-limit section features 8 smart baccarat tables and is located beside Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao, based on GGRAsia site checks on Monday. However, when the casino was visited, there were minimum betting stakes of either HKD3,000 or HKD5,000 for the major forms of betting on the table, such as the banker’s hand or player’s hand.

The new area would have therefore been at a higher level than the main casino floor, where most of the minimum baccarat stakes ranged from between HKD1,000 to HKD2,000. Sands China confirmed in writing that the high-limit area had been introduced by the Londoner Grand Casino in May.

Table Options Offered

The 8 baccarat tables in the new area also included several side bet choices, according to GGRAsia’s Monday observations. These options covered tie, Lucky 6, Small and Big Lucky 6, Lucky 7, 2-card Lucky 7, 3-card Lucky 7, and Super Lucky 7, along with the chance to place pair bets.

Two other baccarat side bets, Monkey no Monkey and Pairs+, were not listed at the high-limit tables. However, GGRAsia noted that these could be found at some tables on the main floor of the Londoner Grand Casino. Those side bets were approved in late March in Macau and had been described in marketing material on the gaming floor as having been pioneered by Sands.

Comparison With Sister Casino

As for the minimums on the first-floor baccarat tables of the Londoner Grand Casino, they were typically lower than those set for the baccarat tables of the Londoner Casino, which is an associated gaming establishment located within The Londoner Macao complex. In regard to the Londoner Casino, the minimums for the live baccarat tables situated on the first floor ranged mostly from HKD2,000 to HKD3,000.

It follows that the new high-limit area will be above the first floor at both Londoner facilities. The comparison also shows that the high-limit zone is aimed at a more exclusive segment of baccarat players.

Resort Gaming Update

The Londoner Grand Casino is itself a newer version of the former Pacifica casino and opened in September 2024. Its latest high-limit baccarat zone adds another layer to the resort’s gaming floor, which already includes smart baccarat tables and multiple betting formats.

With the new area now operating, Sands China has expanded the premium side of the Londoner Macao casino offering while keeping the main floor available at lower minimum stakes.
