The Netherlands’ gambling regulator has escalated its enforcement strategy after a popular YouTuber ignored orders to remove unlicensed gambling content.
The KSA enforcement strategy Netherlands has entered a tougher phase following the case of Djade Sadloe, known online as Leftlanepapi.
In July, Sadloe was instructed by the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) to delete videos promoting illegal gambling sites. When he refused, the regulator issued financial penalties and began formal collection proceedings.
YouTuber fined €25,000 for breaching gambling laws
Regulators say the action marks a clear warning to influencers who continue to promote unlicensed gambling platforms.
Sadloe was first ordered to remove the content after the KSA found that his channel had broadcast videos advertising games of chance from operators without Dutch licences. The regulator imposed a penalty structure of €25,000 per violation, up to €75,000 in total.
However, a follow-up inspection on 28 July revealed that the YouTuber continued to post gambling promotions. As a result, the KSA demanded immediate payment of €25,000 within six weeks. When the payment failed to arrive, the authority announced plans to recover the amount through debt enforcement measures.
KSA expands enforcement strategy across Dutch influencers
The case forms part of a broader crackdown targeting gambling promotion on social media.
In late September, the KSA also fined other Dutch content creators, including Stiefunspeelt, Turcos, and Buurtwachtt, for showcasing illegal online gambling activity. Like Sadloe, each influencer was ordered to delete videos and warned that financial penalties would follow for repeated violations.
These measures fall under the revised Remote Gambling Act (KOA), which prohibits influencers from fronting gambling campaigns and requires that all digital advertising target users aged 24 or above.

The regulator said its intensified enforcement aims to protect vulnerable audiences and restore integrity across Dutch digital media.
