Jeju Dream Tower recorded its highest monthly visitor count in September, but casino revenue fell sharply during the same period. According to Lotte Tour Development, the number of visitors increased to 66,393, exceeding the previous high of 63,192 in May. Despite the increase in the number of visitors, casino revenues decreased by 45.1% on a year-over-year basis and 37.7% on a month-over-month basis to KRW29.1 billion or $21.4 million. The fall was partly linked to a lower hold, according to information filed by the company with the Korea Exchange.
The September result showed that a record number of visitors did not translate into higher casino revenue for the month. While visitation reached a new high, revenue from table games declined significantly compared with both the previous year and the previous month.
Record Visitors at Jeju Dream Tower
Lotte Tour Development reported that 66,393 visitors came to Jeju Dream Tower in September. The figure was higher than the previous record of 63,192 visitors recorded in May.
The September visitation level established an all-time monthly high for the integrated resort. The figure also came during a month when casino revenue and drop amount both declined.
Jeju Dream Tower’s results were filed with the Korea Exchange. The data showed the difference between the resort’s visitor performance and its casino revenue outcome during September.
The visitor total reflected the number of people who visited the integrated resort during the month. The casino revenue figures were influenced by the revenue from the tables and gaming machines, along with the hold of the casino.
The above-mentioned source does not have any separate details regarding the activities in the hotel and casino, or other areas of the property. However, it confirmed that September established a new visitation record for Jeju Dream Tower.
Table Revenue Falls Sharply
Table games earnings amounted to KRW25.8 billion, which is US$19.0 million in September. The earnings went down by 49.6% year-on-year.
The drop in table revenue accounted for much of the overall decline in casino revenue. Total casino revenue for the month was KRW29.1 billion, compared with higher levels recorded in the previous year and in August.
Casino drop amount declined less sharply than revenue. The total reached KRW237.8 billion, equivalent to US$175 million, representing a drop of 10.5% year-on-year and 19.0% month-on-month.
The difference between the decline in drop amount and the larger decrease in revenue reflected lower hold during September. While the amount wagered or exchanged at the casino declined, the fall in revenue was more significant.
The September performance followed a period in which Jeju Dream Tower had reported casino results across table games and gaming machines. The latest filing showed that the table segment remained the main contributor to total casino revenue despite its decline.
Machine Revenue Shows Growth
Gaming machine revenue moved in the opposite direction during September. The segment contributed KRW3.31 billion, equal to US$2.43 million.
Machine games earnings went up by 80.6% year-on-year and 21.3% month-on-month. The increase provided a positive result within the casino’s monthly revenue figures.
Unfortunately, the increase in gaming machines was not sufficient to make up for the decrease in table games revenue. Overall, the casino revenue was down to KRW29.1 billion in September.
During the first 9 months of 2026, Jeju Dream Tower generated casino revenue of KRW393.1 billion, or $289 million. It represents an increase of 17.7% from last year’s corresponding figure.
Casino drop amount during the period of January to September grew by 10.1% to KRW1.96 trillion, or $1.44 billion. The 9-month results remained higher year-on-year despite the September decline in casino revenue, table revenue, and drop amount.
