9 July 2026 – Kaizen Gaming has released exclusive proprietary data from its Betano platform, revealing which teams users around the world are backing to reach the World Cup semi-finals as the tournament enters the last eight stage.
According to betting activity in Betano’s “To Qualify” market, Argentina, Norway, Spain and France are the four teams most backed by users to progress to the semi-finals.
Argentina and Norway Lead User Confidence
Betano’s data shows strong confidence among users in both Argentina and Norway ahead of their quarter-final clashes.
A total of 80% of users have backed Argentina to qualify ahead of Switzerland, while 75% believe Norway will overcome England to secure a place in the final four.
Spain is narrowly favoured to advance over Belgium, with 55% of users backing the European side to qualify. Meanwhile, France has received the support of 67% of users to progress past Morocco.

Tournament Surprises Were Not Unexpected for Many Users
Kaizen Gaming’s data also suggests that two of the tournament’s biggest upsets were anticipated by a significant proportion of Betano users.
While Brazil’s defeat to Norway and Germany’s elimination by Paraguay surprised many, 45% of users had predicted Norway would eliminate Brazil and reach the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, 42% had backed Paraguay to qualify at Germany’s expense.
