InsightPlay.ai is a software company that offers digital transformation solutions for the gaming sector. The company has successfully closed a seed funding round of USD 500,000. This investment has been supported by a number of active, experienced angel investors across the industry, such as former executives of DraftKings, PokerStars, and Scientific Games.
The new capital raised will be put to work accelerating development of the InsightPlay.ai AI platform, designed to underpin gaming operators across regulated markets worldwide. The company positions itself at the intersection of AI infrastructure, compliance, and player engagement.
Strategic Timing Ahead of SBC Summit Rio
In a response to an exclusive SBC Noticias interview, the founders commented on the strategic importance of this funding round. According to Cristian Barbosa, InsightPlay.ai’s COO and co-founder, “the timing is particularly relevant now“.
“This fundraising positions InsightPlay.ai at the right moment, just in front of the SBC Summit Rio. We’re headed into 2026 with strong commercial traction, enterprise-level foundations, and a clear roadmap to scale globally. SBC Rio will be an important milestone to deepen our partnerships and demonstrate how AI can truly transform player engagement in regulated markets“, said Barbosa.
Events in major industries are seen as opportunities by the company to “operationalize validation” with operators and partners while reinforcing positioning as an Enterprise Grade AI provider.
An AI Infrastructure Layer, Not Just Automation
Unlike more traditional automation tools, InsightPlay.ai made it clear that the solution is a core AI infrastructure layer, not siloed features. The platform contains voice and text conversational agents for player acquisition, reactivation, and customer support.
It embeds modules of real-time data analytics and specialized applications for marketing optimization, regulatory compliance, and responsible gaming. Such architecture enables operators to manage multiple operational needs through one unified AI-driven system.
They already work with clients across Latin America, Europe, and North America. The platform they have built has been grounded in security and regulatory compliance. InsightPlay.ai uses adherence to standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR as key tenets in its product design.
A Long-Term Vision for AI in Online Gaming
Javier Troncoso, CEO and Co-Founder of InsightPlay.ai, focused on the big picture in framing the company’s initiative.
“The support we’ve received is a reflection of a shared belief: AI in online gaming needs to move beyond isolated functionalities to become a core infrastructure“, Troncoso said.
He also underlined the strategic importance of regional markets: “Latin America remains a key region for us, and Brazil is a natural part of that, especially in a year with major sporting events like the World Cup driving engagement across the region. We will be at SBC Summit Rio to spend time with operators and partners and discuss how AI can be deployed in production in a way that is compliant, scalable, and ready for regulated markets.”
Looking Ahead to 2026
The round included industry participants such as Jeffrey Haas, a former DraftKings and PokerStars executive, who said he was investing in the company after having reviewed a bevy of gaming startups.
This investment will fuel the further development of InsightPlay.ai’s product roadmap, key strategic partnerships, and increased commercial presence across both Europe and the Americas. The firm has also confirmed its attendance and participation at ICE Barcelona 2026, with live activations to take place on real-world use cases of its AI conversational agents.
As gaming reaches maturity in an environment where regulation intensifies, the scalability and compliance focus of InsightPlay.ai makes it one of the key players for 2026 and beyond.
