As the iGaming industry surges forward, driven by a growing demand for immersive, real-time content, Streamia.io is emerging as a key innovator in casino streaming. With a laser focus on ultra-low latency and seamless scalability, they are redefining how game studios and online casinos connect with global audiences through streamers. In this exclusive interview, we sat down with Carl-Henrik Tuwezen, a driving force behind the product, to explore what Streamia is all about, how it is bridging the gap between operators, casino streamers, and providers, what sets their technology apart, and what the future of streaming in iGaming looks like.
Streamia.io is making waves with its gamified streamer and influencer platform. But for readers discovering you for the first time, how would you describe Streamia in a sentence or two?
Streamia is a user-friendly, transparent affiliate platform specifically built for casino streamers and influencers. We manage everything from A to Z: operator partnerships, offer walls, payments, streaming bonuses, designs, and more. The streamers can focus entirely on what they do best: streaming casino content and engaging their audience.
For operators and game providers, we act as a streamlined gateway to launch casino streaming campaigns and reach new audiences. They partner with us, and we handle the rest. We have some good examples where we have partnered up with Print Studios, Relax Gaming, and more.
Streamia is a powerful solution for casino streamers. How did the idea come about, and what gap in the market are you addressing?
At Wedia Group, we operate several in-house streaming brands like Kingbonus and Casinoholdet. Working closely with these teams, we noticed an increasing demand from both new and experienced content creators for a transparent and trustworthy platform that supports starting a career in casino streaming. That’s how Streamia was born. We’ve since committed ourselves to building a comprehensive, all-in-one platform to help streamers succeed in this unique niche.
Who is your ideal customer? Are you targeting casino streamers, game studios, online casinos, or all three?
As you are mentioning, Streamia serves three main groups: streamers, operators, and providers.
For streamers, especially those asking how to start casino streaming, we offer all the tools, education, and support they need to grow sustainably. For the more experienced streamers, we are also a great match since they have most likely faced all the difficulties already and understand the ease of partnering up with Streamia from an admin perspective.
For operators, we bring high-quality traffic and real value at scale through curated campaigns. Understanding where to start can be very overwhelming for an operator who would like to try out the vertical. In addition, dealing with several streamers requires a lot of work. Ultimately we are making all of this easier by being the single point of contact for the operator with vetted streamers and influencers.
For providers, our mission system makes it easy to launch and scale new game promotions with streamer engagement from day one. They can also come to us and pinpoint certain weeks where they would like more coverage. It’s usually when they have an important game launch or similar.
Some platforms struggle with scalability. How does Streamia manage sudden spikes in interest or sign-ups from different markets?
Our mission is to support everyone interested in becoming a casino streamer. However, there are times when we need to temporarily pause onboarding. Basically, it’s due to us wanting to give the streamer the best possible experience. Usually it’s just appreciated, since everyone wants good support and a working relationship.
In recent years, some influencers have made headlines with high-stakes bets, sparking debate over whether it’s responsible content. What is Streamia’s stance on this?
We believe that casino streamers have a responsibility to model safe and ethical behavior. That’s why our platform includes an educational section on responsible casino streaming, covering everything from affiliate rules to best practices for responsible gambling and community standards. Reckless behavior is taken seriously and addressed when necessary.
Have you noticed regional differences in streaming demand, like between Europe, LatAm, or Asia?
The global interest in streaming slots is undeniable. Some regions are more mature when it comes to streaming culture, but we’ve recently seen a huge spike in the demand for LatAm. As a result, we’ve prioritized localizing our platform to onboard new streamers from the region. We expect those language updates to roll out the same week this interview is published! Fingers crossed.
What’s the most exciting new feature you recently launched?
We have many cool features in the platform which streamers can make use of. One of the bigger features launched recently, is GEO-based offer walls. The days of going into an affiliate platform, choosing a specific link, and then utilizing that everywhere, only to find the link isn’t working or you’re missing opportunities because you accidentally started to trend in a different market, they are long gone!
With our offer wall, the streamer or influencer can easily grab their personally curated offer wall with all operator deals and start monetizing globally. We have been rolling it out lately, and the feedback has been great so far!
What’s been the biggest challenge in developing Streamia?
As mentioned, our platform is highly gamified, with a level-up system, missions, education pieces, offer walls, etc. Putting all this together has really pushed the boundaries of what an affiliate platform can be. And to be honest, if the team and I knew how complicated some stuff was to build, we might have gone down the easy route instead, haha! Now we have an incredible platform that we just can’t wait to scale further.
What trends do you see shaping live streaming in this space over the next few years?
Streaming has long been somewhat of a divider in the iGaming industry. You either saw its potential or didn’t. But with the rise of brands like Stake, more operators are beginning to embrace casino streaming as a major acquisition and retention channel. Which it is.
On the broader side of things, as AI grows even further, I think the human-to-human connection will become more important than ever, even over a stream. Live casino streaming offers authenticity that avatars and chatbots just can’t replicate, and audiences will increasingly crave that real-time interaction. At the end of the day, we are social creatures.
