pawaTech, the provider behind betPawa, has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), a global iGaming watchdog, to fight fraud and ensure safe, transparent betting across 17 countries.
By integrating its sportsbook trading data into IBIA’s global monitoring and alert network, pawaTech will contribute valuable insights to a system that tracks over $300 billion in annual betting turnover from more than 140 brands. This move is seen as a proactive approach to counteract corruption and match-fixing in the betting industry, utilizing one of the most effective tools available for monitoring suspicious activities.

63 Suspicious Reports Submitted by IBIA in the Past Year
The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), established in 2005 as a not-for-profit organization, plays a crucial role in safeguarding legal betting markets from corruption. Unlike commercial monitoring firms, IBIA’s unique system tracks account-level activity, enabling it to effectively detect suspicious behavior.
In the first quarter of 2024, IBIA reported 63 alerts regarding suspicious betting activity, marking an 11% increase from the previous year. These alerts were instrumental in starting investigations that led to disciplinary actions against 17 players, officials, and clubs involved in misconduct.
In the last year, pawaTech has expanded into six new markets, and this new partnership with IBIA solidifies its position as a leader in technology and responsible betting practices. As IBIA continues to grow, with new members like Oddsgate and CopyBet joining its ranks, its efforts to uphold betting integrity remain vital in the fight against corruption.
