High Roller Hits Profitability as It Prepares for 2026 Canadian Expansion

High Roller Technologies just turned its first quarterly profit since going public—a big moment for the company as it gears up for launches in Ontario and Alberta in 2026. Canada’s in the spotlight for High Roller right now. The team’s already getting things in motion for what they expect to be a game-changing year.

Back in May, High Roller applied for an operator license with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Now, they’re waiting on the green light. Once they get it, they’ll sign with iGaming Ontario and officially bring their online casino to the province. CEO Seth Young told investors they’re aiming to go live in Ontario in the first half of 2026.

“Once High Roller receives its operating license in Ontario, we expect our launch to be a major catalyst for the business,” Young said on this week’s earnings call.

“Ontario is a huge launch and will be transformative relative to existing operations. We are truly preparing for scale.”

That call came right after High Roller shared its Q3 results for the three months ending September 30. In that stretch, the company brought in $6.3 million USD ($8.8 million CAD) in total revenue. Net gaming revenue hit about $5 million USD ($7 million CAD), and for the first time as a public company, High Roller finished the quarter in the black. Adjusted EBITDA jumped up to $622,000 USD ($873,000 CAD), both compared to the previous quarter and year.

Young pointed to the company’s financial progress as proof of a deliberate move toward long-term stability, especially as they step away from less-regulated markets.

“This shift is setting us up for the next chapter and is a big plus as we get ready for licensing and launch in Ontario,”

he said.

Ontario’s just the start. Earlier this year, Young confirmed that High Roller plans to be among the first into Alberta’s regulated iGaming market, which is expected to open in 2026. Canada and Finland are still the main focus for now, but the company’s looking hard at new opportunities in North America, Latin America, and Europe.

High Roller isn’t just betting on new markets. The company’s also looking at ways to expand its product lineup. Young mentioned they’re considering mergers and acquisitions to help them grow both geographically and in what they offer. They’re even exploring launching or buying a sports betting product to round out their casino-first brand.

There’s been some shuffling at the top, too. Young, who was Chief Strategy Officer, officially took over as CEO on September 1, replacing Ben Clemes. And this week, they brought in Jake Francis as Chief Operating Officer. Francis comes with experience from BlueBet, PENN Interactive, and Hard Rock Atlantic City.

With its first profit on the books and big regulatory steps ahead, High Roller says it’s ready for what looks like its most exciting growth phase yet.
