The new agreement for the 2026 edition of the Campeonato Catarinense, a traditional state football tournament in Brazil, introduces the event with a new commercial aspect through the partnership with N Sports and the sports betting operator H2bet. The agreement makes the brand a match broadcast official sponsor on all N Sports media, such as YouTube, pay TV, and the free platform through the use of FAST TV.
The agreement goes beyond the realm of a traditional sponsorship; rather, it demonstrates the manner in which betting operators are working with sports media to grow fan engagement by supplying further information during the live games.
A Partnership Focused on Engagement and Data
The partnership is not limited to the promotion of the brands. According to the terms of the deal, the live odds will be provided on the screens live, advertisements will be shown during breaks, and exclusive content will be generated for the social media platforms.
This incorporation of statistical data as well as betting information into the viewing experience is in line with a broader industrywide trend, which includes the incorporation of analysis tools into sports broadcasts. However, for fans viewing at home, this approach is meant to create a more immersive viewing experience surrounding the matches.
Ueltom Lima Gomes, who is CEO of Grupo H2 and owner of H2bet, highlighted the digital aspect of the strategy: “With this initiative, we are expanding our presence in football with a strong emphasis on digital, which is our greatest strength.”
From the broadcaster’s perspective, this partnership reaffirms their commitment to broadcasting regional events of national interest. André Argolo, a Co-CEO at N Sports, emphasized the significance of this tournament: “N Sports intends to broadcast championships from different sports and different parts of Brazil. We consider the Catarinense to be a significant state championship, and we are thrilled about our partnership with SBT.”
The Weight of Tradition in Santa Catarina Football
The Campeonato Catarinense brings together teams with rich histories in Brazilian football. Some of the teams competing in it, such as Avaí, Chapecoense, Figueirense, and Criciúma, have had some successful moments competing in Brazil’s leading club division
The strength of these traditional clubs ensures the visibility of the tournament. This, in turn, creates a high level of interest among fans. This rivalry not only creates a competitive atmosphere during the games but also boosts off-the-field activities such as betting and cyber interaction.
Format and Coverage of the Tournament
There are 12 clubs competing, divided into two groups of six. Competition is scheduled from January 6 to the final on March 8.
In the initial phase, N Sports has been presenting one game per round with a total of 12 games before the final. There is also the provision for the use of multiple channels for the presentation of the tournament games as a way of accommodating the varying tastes and taste changes of sports lovers in Brazil.
A Sign of Changing Sports Media Dynamics
This partnership is a good example of how regional football competitions are becoming strategic innovation hubs for football broadcasting and sponsoring. This partnership combines broadcasting and live coverage, digital media, online odds, and social media engagement to illustrate how betting firms are becoming more responsive to a connected and data-driven football audience.
While state championships continue to captivate local fan bases in Brazil, collaborations such as this one indicate an emerging path forward where sports, media, and sports betting become more interconnected to create a better fan environment.
