In response to the UK government, with support from the Gibraltar government, reaching a landmark political agreement with the European Union, Gibfibre has welcomed the move as a transformative step for Gibraltar’s economic future, border fluidity, and international position.
The agreement, which safeguards British sovereignty, UK military autonomy, and ensures long-term prosperity for Gibraltar, marks the resolution of the last major Brexit-related issue — avoiding checks on people and goods crossing the Gibraltar-Spain border.
