Genting Singapore posted strong profit for the third quarter of 2025, fueled by increased VIP gaming revenues and a robust improvement in non-gaming revenues. Its integrated resort, Resorts World Sentosa, attracted increasing visitor numbers that helped improve the overall results.
The Financial Highlights
Genting posted a 16 percent year-on-year rise in revenue to S$649.8 million (US$473 million) for the three months to September 30. The adjusted EBITDA has also increased by 36 percent to S$222.7 million (US$162 million). In the same period last year, net profit after tax jumped 19 percent to S$94.6 million (US$69 million).
Revenue improved 10% compared with last year’s quarter, driven by a comparable basis adjusted EBITDA increase of 19%, reflecting a sustained and strong momentum in the financial performance for the quarter.
Gaming and Leisure Segments Show Balanced Strength
Revenue grew sharply on the back of improved VIP rolling volumes and win rates. Contributions from the non-gaming segment, hospitality, retail, and attractions also contributed to the higher tourist numbers at RWS. This was because of the completion of the Singapore Oceanarium and WEAVE lifestyle precinct; Resorts World Sentosa was able to regain some of its vibrancy, with its appeal underpinned by recurrent flows of visitors. The resort expanded its luxury accommodation offerings in October with the launch of The Laurus, Singapore’s first Luxury Collection all-suite hotel, operated in conjunction with Marriott International.
Strategic Development and ESG Emphasis
Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho made special mention of Genting’s continuous transformation efforts, emphasized by resilient financial fundamentals coupled with disciplined execution. The group remains committed to a more sustainable future, as reflected by its continued ‘AA’ rating on the MSCI ESG index, and is listed on MSCI’s High Dividend Yield and Quality indices. Major works under the RWS 2.0 expansion are progressing at a steady pace, with iconic projects such as the 88-meter waterfront light sculpture by Heatherwick Studio and the highly anticipated Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore adding value to the resort and user experience.
Genting Ending the Year Right
Meanwhile, Genting has revealed that it will conclude the year with its ‘Season for Good’ festive campaign, a large-scale event developed in collaboration with Universal Pictures, Sentosa Development Corporation, the Singapore Tourism Board, and DBS Bank. The campaign looks set to bring even more excitement to the destination and extend business momentum well into 2026. The company’s strategy clearly shows how gaming growth can be combined with the extension of better non-gaming experiences in support of its leading integrated resort positioning in the region, and indeed for continued success in the future.
