Carlos Schneider, Director of Judicial Bodies at FIFA, underlined the importance of a joint approach to fighting match manipulation. FIFA has joined forces with major international stakeholders to safeguard all competitions against match-fixing and other integrity threats. Joint action will be essential in defending the tournament and maintaining the sport’s reputation,” he added.
