Grupo Esportes Gaming Brasil, operator of Esportes da Sorte and Onabet, has strengthened its Responsible Gaming framework through internal training, data-led compliance, and a new organisational code of conduct.
Responsible Gambling integration begins at the company level.
In June, more than 600 employees completed an immersive training initiative, Learn to Protect, delivered in partnership with the Instituto de Apoio ao Apostador (IAA) and the Empresa Brasileira de Apoio ao Compulsivo (EBAC). The programme included workshops, real-case simulations, and international support protocols. The content is now part of mandatory e-learning, with updates every six months.
The group has also launched a new Code of Ethics and Conduct based on five principles: integrity, respect for people, privacy, responsible gaming, and compliance. The guidelines apply to employees, suppliers, and external partners.
Technology plays a key role in risk detection.
Machine learning tools monitor user behaviour such as betting volume, frequency, and session duration. Risk indicators trigger instant alerts that offer deposit limits or self-exclusion options. Monthly reports are submitted to the Compliance department, and high-risk cases are flagged for personal follow-up by trained support staff.
To reinforce leadership in this area, the group has appointed Ana Carolina Luna Maçães as Responsible Gaming Manager.
Industry engagement extends beyond operations.
In recent months, Grupo Esportes Gaming Brasil hosted the Match-Fixing Prevention Forum, delivering integrity training to football clubs including Náutico, Ceará, and Corinthians.
Hugo Baungartner, Director of Institutional Relations and Partnerships, stated:
