DigiPlus Interactive Corporation is accelerating its growth strategy in the big iGaming industry of Brazil with the hiring of Graham Tidey as country manager for its local operations. Tidey will lead DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary in the nation, with the mandate to drive expansion and strengthen the brand’s presence in the industry effective March 1, 2025.
A Big Name for a Promising Market
With almost two decades of experience in international trade, investment, and iGaming, Graham Tidey offers significant industry knowledge. Once a British Consul in Brazil for the United Kingdom Diplomatic Service, he set himself apart by assisting foreign companies to enter and grow in the Brazilian market. Directly advocating for government-level legislation, Tidey also acted as a top consultant for the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) in Brazil.
Before DigiPlus, Tidey provided guidance for multinational powerhouses like DraftKings and Bally’s at MarketLaunch, an iGaming sector expansion strategy consulting company. Having a thorough knowledge of the Brazilian regulatory environment, he is ideally located to guide DigiPlus into one of the most dynamic and difficult industries on the planet.
Commitment to Responsible Expansion
Tidey’s appointment further underlines DigiPlus‘ dedication to the development of a forward-thinking and environmentally friendly presence in Brazil. Eusebio Tanco, the company’s CEO, stressed the need to select an experienced leader to guarantee a smooth entry into the market.
Tanco remarked, “Brazil represents one of the most significant opportunities in global iGaming, and we are investing in the right people to ensure our success,” Tanco commented. “Graham Tidey’s expertise in Latin America, proven leadership in regulatory navigation, and track record of driving strategic growth make him the ideal choice to lead our expansion.”
Having lived in Brazil for almost fifteen years and becoming a Brazilian citizen, Tidey sees the regional difficulties and possibilities. His top goals will be to guarantee regulatory compliance, establish strategic alliances, and improve DigiPlus‘ local knowledge to fortify its market presence.
Structure and Investment
Having been given a gaming license by the Brazilian Ministry of Finance, DigiPlus can run live gaming studios, electronic gaming, internet sports betting, and fixed-odds betting. Including licensing expenses, capitalization, and financial reserves, the company has allocated €10.9 million to cover operating costs and help get it off the ground.
Among Tidey’s core challenges and duties is negotiating the continuously changing Brazilian statutory scene. Strong local collaborations will also be required of him, given his plan to create a solid operational base guaranteeing DigiPlus‘ long-term expansion in Brazil.
A Promising Future for DigiPlus in Brazil
In taking this new position, Tidey emphasized his desire to guide DigiPlus‘ growth and provide shareholder worth.
He stated, “DigiPlus is committed to responsible expansion, and I look forward to creating shareholder value by driving innovation, expanding market reach, and building a strong, sustainable business in this region.”
The arrival of Tidey and a big investment sees DigiPlus strategically moving toward consolidation in the Brazilian iGaming market, thereby underlining its dedication to innovation, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.
