STOCKHOLM, Sweden, August 5, 2026 — Cubeia, the Sweden-based provider of turnkey crypto casino solutions, has appointed Christian Karlsson as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), effective August 3, 2026. The appointment strengthens the company’s commercial leadership as it continues to expand its presence across regulated markets.
Karlsson joins Cubeia with more than ten years of leadership experience spanning fintech, identity verification, payments, and iGaming. Most recently, he served at Checkin.com, the Nasdaq First North Stockholm-listed identity verification and fintech company (CHECK), where he held the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer between 2024 and 2025 after spending six years as Chief Commercial Officer. During his tenure, he also led GetID, the group’s biometric identity verification subsidiary, as Chief Executive Officer.
Extensive Experience Across Fintech and iGaming
Before joining Checkin.com, Karlsson held senior commercial positions within the iGaming sector. He served as Head of Client Operations at Gaming Innovation Group and previously led payments and fraud strategy at LeoVegas as Head of Payments and Fraud.
In his new role, Karlsson will oversee Cubeia’s global revenue strategy. He will work closely with the company’s product and technical teams to help operator partners launch, expand, and maintain compliance across both established and emerging markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Karlsson said he was impressed by Cubeia’s strong performance and long-term potential. He noted that the company has built a profitable business while delivering sustained growth and said he looks forward to working alongside customers, partners, and colleagues as the commercial organisation enters its next stage of development.

Kim Sandström, Interim CEO of Cubeia, said Karlsson’s background makes him well suited to guide the company’s commercial direction.
Sandström highlighted Karlsson’s experience scaling commercial and platform businesses through public listings, international expansion, and changing market conditions. He added that Karlsson’s understanding of operator requirements, combined with his expertise in payments, compliance, and strategic partnerships, positions him to lead Cubeia’s global revenue strategy as the company continues to grow its operator network.
The appointment reflects Cubeia’s continued focus on strengthening its commercial capabilities while supporting operators with technology, compliance, and long-term growth across international markets.
