Century Entertainment, WPT Join Forces on Asia-Pacific Mobile Gaming Rollout

Century Entertainment has signed a new operating agreement with WPT to develop and launch a series of mobile gaming applications in the Asia-Pacific region, except for the Philippines. This new development, announced in a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is part of the company’s efforts to adopt a scalable and compliant approach to digital expansion in regulated markets.

Access to WPT’s Licensed Platform

Under the agreement signed on February 13, 2026, the joint venture formed by Century Entertainment has been granted access to WPT’s licensed gaming platform, including its related technology and content, for use in Asia-Pacific jurisdictions where such operations are permitted. The new operating agreement is set up in such a way that all operations must comply with applicable laws and regulations in each market.

WPT, which has accreditation as a licensed Electronic Gaming System Service Provider from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), will provide its platform and regulatory framework to support the new project. Although WPT will be responsible for the regulated gaming business, the joint venture will focus on developing and adapting the mobile applications.

Cost-Efficient Path Into Digital Gaming

Century Entertainment said the partnership gives the group a cost-effective route into the expanding Asia-Pacific digital gaming sector. By relying on WPT’s PAGCOR-accredited platform, proprietary content, and established regulatory framework, the joint venture can introduce mobile products without having to secure its own gaming licenses or build core platform technology from the ground up.

Management indicated that this structure is designed to speed up product launches while reducing initial capital outlay and operational complexity. The agreement allows for the development of up to 10 mobile gaming applications across permitted jurisdictions, offering room for a diversified portfolio under the same infrastructure.

Revenue Sharing and Data Access Terms

The operating agreement runs initially for 3 years, with provisions for automatic 1-year renewals unless either party opts to terminate with prior notice. Under the commercial terms, WPT is entitled to receive 15% of net winnings generated by the mobile applications, with settlements to be made monthly.

Net winnings in this context refer to gross gaming revenue after deducting mandatory gaming taxes, regulatory levies, and the runner’s fee. In addition to revenue sharing, the joint venture will obtain secure access to operational data, including player activity and performance metrics, to support both commercial decisions and analytical work around the applications’ performance.

Shift to Performance-Linked, Platform-Based Model

Century Entertainment described the initiative as a step toward a performance-linked, platform-based business model. In practice, this means its revenue will be closely tied to how the mobile applications perform, while regulatory responsibilities are kept distinct between technology services and licensed gaming operations.

By separating platform provision and regulatory obligations, the company aims to position itself primarily on the technology and content side of the value chain, while still benefiting from monetization linked to gaming activity on the apps. The structure also keeps regulatory accountability with WPT as the licensed operator within the framework recognized by PAGCOR.

Ongoing Work on Trading Resumption

Alongside the announcement of the WPT partnership, Century Entertainment noted that it continues to work with its auditor to address issues tied to a previous disclaimer of opinion. The company is also working to meet the requirements for the resumption of trading of its shares, which have been suspended since June 2025.

The resolution of the audit-related matters remains a clear but important priority for the group, aside from its efforts to move ahead with digital expansion through its new mobile gaming business in the Asia-Pacific region. The filing underscores that both the regulatory and commercial aspects of the business are in focus as Century Entertainment moves ahead with its plans.
