The gaming industry in the Philippines keeps evolving, and there’s always something new brewing behind the scenes. This time, everyone looks toward one partnership that’s supposed to matter, a change expected by many as to how the whole streaming-and-gaming ecosystem will work in the country. Belle Corp’s Buenas PH, an eCasino operator, has just signed on as the presenting partner for Battle of the Streamers, a program being run by YGS Live, a streaming platform that just hit the market not too long ago.
So what exactly is YGS Live about to do here? According to reports, the new platform is a broadcast network of iGaming and entertainment content. They are building what they call a collaborative, brand-safe environment where creators, partners, and fans can all interact with each other while keeping ethical standards for streaming and gameplay at the forefront.
The platform is exclusive for streamers who endorse only those gaming sites licensed by PAGCOR. With scam operations and unlicensed platforms already hurting Filipino gamers, this approach is quite intentional.
Battle of the Streamers: The Event of the Week Everybody’s Talking About
Battle of the Streamers runs every Saturday and is basically the main event for YGS Live. Pragmatic Play powers the competition, bringing together top iGaming creators for weekly matches. Here’s where it gets interesting: the prize pool is sitting at 11 million pesos. That’s around 188,000 US dollars up for grabs, and that kind of money draws serious competitors and serious viewership.
The program is not just about individual glory, though. It’s designed to showcase what responsible, community-driven iGaming content can actually look like. The emphasis on discouraging creators from pushing unlicensed or scam platforms is built right into the DNA of this competition. And when you have that kind of prize pool and that kind of audience, the message gets amplified. That’s how influence works in this space.
Where Buenas PH Comes In
Buenas PH is backed by Pacific Online Systems Corporation, a company listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange and a subsidiary of Belle Corp. that runs a 50-50 partnership with Melco Resorts & Entertainment at City of Dreams Manila. This isn’t a fly-by-night operation. This is established, regulated institutional money entering the streaming creator space. As the presenting partner, Buenas PH isn’t just slapping a logo on the program. They are directly involved in the weekly Saturday competitions, and they are putting real resources behind it. The grand finals event on January 18, 2026, at City of Dreams Manila, consists of high-stakes matches partnered with segments of interactive community involvement. Then there is the three million pesos in community giveaways directed at fans and viewers.
The Mission Behind the Partnership
Julius ‘Banoobs’ Mariano, founder of YGS Live, explained that creators have real influence. The partnership between his platform and Buenas PH exists because they believe that influence should be used to build something healthier for fans and players. Through this collaboration, Buenas PH is supporting a bigger mission, one aimed at making Philippine iGaming safer and more responsible overall. That’s the stated goal anyway, and that’s what separates this from purely commercial ventures.
Setting the Standard
A major player like Belle Corp is putting weight behind a responsible gaming framework through streaming and content creation. Whether this shift sticks around or becomes industry standard will depend on what happens over the next few months as Battle of the Streamers runs its course and leads up to that January finals event.
