Betting Companies Drive Club TV Channels to Boost Revenue Through Digital Monetization in Brazil

In recent years, Brazilian football clubs have increasingly turned to their own TV channels to engage with their fans and diversify their income sources. With the insistence by fans for genuine and exclusive content, club channels have become an indispensable tool for engagement, identification, and economic growth. This has been further accentuated by partnerships with betting operators, which have emerged as influential agents in the sports sponsorship industry.

An increase in sports betting websites in Brazil has opened new doors for revenue. As an extension of traditional shirt sponsorships, bookmakers are increasingly investing directly into the online existence of clubs by purchasing naming rights on their respective official YouTube channels. This initiative has become enormously attractive since clubs recognize the potential to generate cash from watch hours, sponsorships incorporated, and sponsored branded content.

Betting Companies Enter the Digital Space

No fewer than five of Brazil’s top Série A clubs have already rebranded their official TV channels under new sponsorship agreements with betting operators. SantosTV was renamed Santos TV 7K, Fortaleza’s TV channel was renamed TV Leão Cassino Bet, Sport’s TV channel is TV Sport Betnacional, Palmeiras has TV Palmeiras Sportingbet, and Atlético-MG has GaloTV H2bet.

These alliances bring the business relationship between gambling operators and clubs beyond the signage at stadium walls or on jerseys, allowing the online space to be a new commercial frontier. The sites are preferred by YouTube’s native monetization capabilities based on view duration and monthly watch frequency, and sponsors also enjoy the advantage of long-term brand exposure linked with premium football programming.

The Case of Santos TV

One of the clearest instances of success is that of Santos TV. In 2025 alone, the network generated 117.9 million views, earned more than 2 million hours of watch time, and earned 312,000 new subscribers. These numbers affirm the power of digital engagement when combined with a strong brand and motivated fan base.

Caio Lacerda, Santos Business and Marketing Executive, explained the significance of the deal: “Santos TV is the voice, image, and soul of the club. With 7K acquiring naming rights, we have even more ability to innovate. We plan to expand exclusive content production, create differentiated activations, and deliver unforgettable experiences for our supporters.”

Betting Companies’ Perspective

For gambling operators, these sponsorships are not simply about visibility but about building long-term relationships with the fans. “We want to blend entertainment, technology, and fan experience“, says Grupo Ana Gaming owner Nickolas Ribeiro, owner of brands 7K and Cassino, sponsors of Santos and Fortaleza, respectively.

Ana Gaming was created to revolutionize digital entertainment in Brazil, combining innovation and customer experience. Being a leader in Santos TV naming rights enables us to bring that vision to football as well as reach millions of fans with high-quality, engaging content“, Ribeiro said.

He continued to point out that naming rights investments are greater than sponsorship, but the introduction of a new source of revenue: “It is more than visibility. It’s about creating identification, reinforcing responsible gaming, and contributing to a sustainable and transparent sporting environment.”

A Sustainable Future for Club Media

The integration of betting sponsors into club television channels is evidence of the broader realignment of football’s commercial structure. Once a secondary source of revenue, it is now a central pillar of financial strategy. Through the convergence of sport, entertainment, and technology, Brazilian clubs are not only diversifying their incomes but restructuring the way supporters interact with their clubs.

For clubs, bookmakers, and fans, the online expansion of club TV channels is a new age, where football is no longer consumed only at the ground but on platforms that fuse passion, engagement, and innovation.
