Betano’s first activation on air was carried out within the framework of Big Brother Brasil 26 (BBB 26) this Monday (26). The company used one of the most popular TV programs in Brazil to promote the main principles of Responsible Gaming. The initiative is consistent with the brand’s dedication to education, protection, and responsible entertainment. The action is part of the brand’s broader “Não Mete o Loco” (“Don’t Go Overboard”) campaign.
As an official sponsor of BBB 26, Betano developed an interactive experience that mixed entertainment with education. The activation consisted of a search for keywords related to Responsible Gaming within the house. The words were pause, responsibility, protection, limits, and fun. These are the pillars of the brand’s philosophy regarding betting as entertainment rather than income generation.
Once all the words were collected, the housemates advanced to the next stage of the dynamic experience. The next stage consisted of a quiz related to Responsible Gaming. By successfully completing both stages, the housemates were able to access a surprise reward and enjoy it together. This is another way of demonstrating that responsible gaming is compatible with entertainment.
Betting Education Through Entertainment
Big Brother Brasil is an important tool that allows us to communicate complex messages in an easy-to-understand way. Arthur Niggemann, Head of Marketing at Betano, emphasized the importance of the initiative and the strategic value of the program.
“BBB is a great opportunity to increase the public’s knowledge of our segment. With the Responsible Gaming element, we are able to introduce the public to this very important subject in a fun and casual way. At Betano, we have been passionate about Responsible Gaming since the beginning of our operations”, explained Niggemann.
The initiative was not only directed at the housemates but also at the millions of viewers across Brazil.
The “Não Mete o Loco” Campaign
The “Não Mete o Loco” campaign was launched by Betano in 2025. The main aim of the campaign is to educate the public on the importance of Responsible Gaming. The campaign seeks to promote healthy behaviors among gamblers. The campaign is led by former Uruguayan football star Loco Abreu. As the campaign ambassador, Abreu is recognized by many, which helps to spread the message of Responsible Gaming through simple and understandable concepts.
The campaign is based on three main concepts of Responsible Gaming:
Respect your limits, by betting only amounts that fit your personal financial reality;
Take breaks, ensuring betting does not become an intense or habitual routine;
Play for fun, treating betting strictly as entertainment and not as a way to supplement income.
Through the campaign website, the public is able to access information on how to be responsible in gaming. The website provides information on how to identify your behaviors to know when to stop.
