bet365 has officially launched its online sportsbook in Kansas, marking a significant expansion for the British operator in the US gaming market. This debut makes Kansas the 14th regulated state for bet365, and it arrives just in time for the upcoming NFL season, allowing fans of the Kansas City Chiefs to explore new betting options.
Entering a competitive landscape that already includes major players like DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM, bet365 joins the ranks of six other sportsbooks that have been operational since Kansas began offering online and retail sports betting in 2022.
Kansas Betting Market Continues to Grow
bet365’s entry into the Kansas market truly comes at an exciting time. The state’s market has quickly developed in recent years, growing by 32% in June to $185.2 million and featuring wagers of up to $181.7 million and retail wagers of $3.4 million.
The platform will offer Kansas bettors a range of features, including QuickSlip, which makes the betting process faster, and BetSync, which helps users track their bets across different apps. With this launch, Kansas residents can place wagers on NFL futures, player props, and even same-game parlays on local college teams like the Kansas State Wildcats.
The company expressed excitement about its entry into Kansas, stating, “We’re pleased to announce that bet365 is now available for our customers in Kansas. Our passion for sports has helped us to become a leading global brand, so we are thrilled to be operating in Kansas – a home to iconic teams and sporting venues.”
Missouri Next?
With its recent launch in Kansas, bet365 is setting its sights on Missouri as the next market for its online sportsbook operations. The Kansas move marks the third US state where bet365 has expanded since March 2025, following its entries in Illinois and Tennessee.
In Illinois, bet365 partnered with Walker’s Bluff Casino Resort to offer both mobile and retail betting. Shortly after, it entered Tennessee, becoming the 13th online sportsbook approved to operate there.
In preparation for its Missouri debut, the company has secured a market access agreement with the St.Louis Cardinals, which also includes a multi-year marketing deal. The Missouri market is expected to fully launch later this year.
Additionally, bet365 has showcased its commitment to the US sports betting market by joining the Sports Betting Alliance (SBA), an organization formed by leading operators to advocate for the sector. It joins FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Fanatics Sportsbooks as members.
Kansas Looking to Prevent Online Sports Betting License Extensions
As the Kansas online sports betting market continues to grow, state lawmakers are taking steps to reshape the current regulatory framework. In April, they voted to prohibit online sports betting operators from extending their licenses, a decision driven by concerns about the existing regulatory structure.
The prohibition on license extensions, which is set to expire on June 30, 2026, prevents operators from negotiating any license renewals until then. This move came alongside discussions about how to manage the expanding market effectively.
It’s worth noting that six of the seven active sportsbooks, including BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, Fanatics, FanDuel, and ESPN BET, currently hold licenses valid until August 31, 2027.
