Behind The Gloves is preparing to promote its flagship 2027 Midnight Mayhem event at SBC Summit Lisbon with the launch of a trading card-inspired networking activation.
The Midnight Mayhem Fight Card Collection will feature 25 people involved in the campaign, with each individual rated out of 100 across a series of categories. Inspired by classic trading cards, the collection will be distributed free to attendees during the summit.
A total of 1,000 packs will be available, with six cards included in each pack.
Rare Cards Put VIP Midnight Mayhem Table Up for Grabs
Two cards in the collection have deliberately been made particularly rare, meaning that only 10 complete sets of all 25 cards can exist.
Any attendee who successfully collects the entire set and presents it to Behind The Gloves will be able to claim the grand prize: a VIP table at Midnight Mayhem valued at €6,500.
The activation has been created to encourage delegates to interact throughout the SBC Summit exhibition floor, searching for missing fighters and trading cards with other attendees.
By turning an event giveaway into a three-day competition, Behind The Gloves aims to introduce attendees to the fighters taking part in Midnight Mayhem, their individual stories and the charitable causes they will represent.
The activation will begin at SBC Summit Lisbon on September 29.
Betsson and ComeOn Group Back Midnight Mayhem
Midnight Mayhem has also secured support from Betsson and ComeOn Group, with both operators committing their backing to the event.
The charity boxing night will take place at La Paloma in Barcelona on Tuesday, January 19, 2027.
Twenty figures from the iGaming industry are scheduled to enter the ring across 10 bouts, with Behind The Gloves targeting more than €200,000 for charity.
Alongside the boxing, the event will feature professional fight-night production, premium hospitality, industry networking and entertainment, followed by an afterparty running until 2am.
Midnight Mayhem has been created to bring together different parts of the gambling sector, including operators, suppliers, regulators, payments companies, affiliates, media organisations, compliance businesses and industry leaders.
Campaign to Support 25 Charitable Causes
The wider Midnight Mayhem campaign will support 25 charitable causes, combining Behind The Gloves’ core charity partners with organisations personally chosen by participating fighters.
Charities supported through the wider campaign include Support Our Paras, WBC Cares UK, Oliver’s Wish Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and CHIPS.
Fighter-supported causes include Parkinson’s UK, MS Society, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Help for Heroes, Action Medical Research and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Discussing the recent updates, Lee McFarland, Founder of Behind The Gloves, said:
“Midnight Mayhem was never supposed to be just another industry party with a boxing ring in the middle of it.
We want to create one of those nights people are still talking about years later – but underneath all of the theatre, entertainment and madness there has to be a purpose. We now have 20 people from our industry preparing to step into a ring across 10 bouts, each of them fighting for something much bigger than themselves.
To already have major operators such as Betsson and ComeOn Group committing to attend shows us that the industry is getting behind what we’re trying to achieve. Our target is now to generate more than €200,000 for charity, create meaningful awareness for 25 causes and show what can happen when this industry comes together to do some good.
And before we get to Barcelona, we’re going to cause a little bit of chaos in Lisbon with the Fight Card Collection. With only ten of the rarest cards in existence, I expect SBC to turn into one enormous trading floor.”
Midnight Mayhem Partners With WBC Cares UK
Midnight Mayhem is affiliated with WBC Cares UK, connecting the campaign with the charitable movement of the World Boxing Council.
Through the event, Behind The Gloves also intends to highlight boxing as a vehicle for community, inclusion, wellbeing and positive social impact.
