Backseat Gaming will attend SBC Summit 2026 in Lisbon with its expanded senior team, marking the studio’s first industry event since becoming a fully independent developer with its own RGS.
The independent player-led studio will be represented at the event by Debbie Cooper, Head of Commercial Operations, alongside several recent additions to its team.
New hires Kristina Hambardzumyan, Head of Business Development, Graeme Savill, Head of Business Development – Emerging Markets, and Kristeena Haidon, Senior Account Manager, will all join the delegation in Lisbon later this month.
Backseat Gaming to Showcase Player-Led Content
The SBC Summit appearance will give Backseat Gaming an opportunity to present its player-led content and meet operators and partners face-to-face following its move to independence.
The studio currently releases one new game each week, with its portfolio including titles such as Born in Hell, Toad Town and Totem Tower Bonanza.
Backseat Gaming said the Lisbon event will provide an opportunity to build on its recent progress while connecting with existing and prospective partners as an independent company.
Cooper Highlights Flexibility Following Independence
Debbie Cooper, Head of Commercial Operations at Backseat Gaming, said:
“It’s great to see Backseat Gaming thriving since its independence. This strategy allows us to respond quickly to partner needs and deliver the kind of games players genuinely want to engage with. It also gives us the flexibility to tailor our release schedule and portfolio strategy to support long-term partner success.
In recent months we’ve welcomed some highly experienced and talented individuals to the team and I’m looking forward to attending SBC Summit Lisbon with them to meet partners face-to-face, connect with new people, and demonstrate exactly what Backseat Gaming has to offer.”
