Moti Malul will step down as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive in March 2026, handing over the reins to Dylan Slaney, a former executive at Light & Wonder.
During his 18 months at the helm, Malul played a crucial role in establishing Aristocrat Interactive, following his leadership of NeoGames through its acquisition by Aristocrat. He will remain with the company until his notice period and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Dylan Slaney, who has been serving as the CEO of Light & Wonder’s iGaming division, will officially take on the CEO role at Aristocrat Interactive starting November 3, pending regulatory approvals.
With over ten years of international experience in the iGaming sector, Slaney has previously held significant positions at NYX, SG Digital, and the data science firm dunnhumby. The company described him as an executive with “a track record of driving operational excellence and a customer-first approach that delivers transformative growth.”
New chief corporate affairs officer appointed too
In addition to the leadership change in the Interactive division, Aristocrat has announced that Natalie Toohey, the chief corporate affairs officer, will depart after nearly seven years to explore new opportunities.
Her successor, Barry French, steps into an expanded role as chief corporate affairs and marketing officer, effective immediately. To ensure a smooth transition, Toohey will remain available in a consulting capacity.
Barry French brings a wealth of experience to his new position, boasting over 35 years in marketing and corporate affairs across various sectors, including telecommunications and aerospace. His impressive background includes roles as chief marketing and communications officer at both Inmarsat and Nokia.
Slaney will operate out of London, while French will be based in Las Vegas. Both will report directly to Trevor Croker, the CEO and managing director of Aristocrat Group, and will become members of the executive steering committee.
“As we begin a new fiscal year, I am pleased to share two leadership appointments that consolidate the strong progress we’ve achieved and will help Aristocrat accelerate delivery of our strategy,” Croker said.
“Both are values-led leaders with collaborative and customer-centric mindsets. Dylan’s deep iGaming experience and track record of operational delivery will help us accelerate momentum in Aristocrat Interactive, including building on our market-leading position in iLottery, in line with our strategy.
“I also look forward to Barry further building our reputation and stakeholder relationships, while forging a global Marketing function to better steward our brands and unlock more strategic benefits.”
Croker expressed gratitude to the outgoing executives, commending Malul for his pivotal role in establishing Aristocrat Interactive and acknowledging Toohey’s transformative impact on the company’s corporate affairs and investor relations, which helped global stakeholder connections and contributed to the firm’s resilience and growth.
