On August 17, 2026, Appuesta has officially launched its digital sports betting platform in the Dominican Republic. The operator’s mobile-first offering will be a 100% local brand, introduced as such.
It is a sports betting platform that provides pre-match and live sports betting, single, multiple, and system betting. The first sports release will feature over 50 sports and international events, from the MLB and NBA to ATP Tennis, Formula 1 and esports.
Technology Focuses on Speed and Flexibility
Appuesta’s technology enables distinct markets to be wagered on a single betting slip, such as game results, race and player results. The system can be used for an unlimited number of combinations, and processing times are expected to be less than 2 seconds, the company said.
The site also features a payment system that is localised for their users. Local credit and debit cards, bank transfer, digital wallet, and cash payment points are all options for account funding. Deposits are meant to take less than a minute to complete, and withdrawals are also supposed to be streamlined.
Appuesta Highlights Local Market Strategy
The company’s launch in the Dominican Republic is focused on creating a product for the local bettors, not adapting an existing international platform. This method was mentioned by the Co-founder and CMO of Appuesta, Marcos Bonetti, during the launch.

Platform Receives Dominican Authorization
Appuesta was granted authority by the Ministry of Finance of the Dominican Republic to have a legal presence in the nation’s online gambling industry. The authorization stipulates that the operator will be bound by the rules set by the Dominican authorities for online gaming activities.
