8 May 2025 – Leading sportsbook and iGaming software provider Altenar has launched a major upgrade to its self-service betting terminal (SSBT), introducing a powerful new suite of features that significantly enhance performance, stability, and user experience.
The reimagined terminal now boasts innovative dual touchscreen displays with bidirectional functionality, enabling a more intuitive and interactive interface. Key enhancements include seamless QR code payment integration via mobile app, built-in voucher systems, and live sports streaming, transforming the terminal into a modern hub of digital engagement and entertainment.
Designed with both operators and players in mind, the update introduces a robust middleware layer that simplifies deployment and maintenance. Thanks to over-the-air (OTA) update capabilities, operators can roll out improvements rapidly and with minimal disruption, even across multiple geographies.
One of the standout features is extensive customization. Operators can define localized terminal modes, manage operating hours, and tailor user flows for different regions or betting environments. Promotional content can be adjusted per market via secondary screens, while the terminal also supports native integration with peripherals such as printers, bill acceptors, and coin handlers.
This evolution of Altenar’s SSBT is a core element of the company’s broader omnichannel retail strategy, ensuring seamless interaction across retail venues, mobile apps, and online sportsbooks.
