5th August 2025 – Abelson Sports, a leading sports betting data provider, has announced the appointment of two seasoned industry professionals, Mikey Mumford and Richard Evison, as Senior Football Traders.
With a combined experience of more than 35 years in football trading, Mumford and Evison will play a central role in supporting Abelson’s ongoing growth in football player props and stats-based betting markets.
Mumford brings over a decade of experience from Sky Bet, where he was instrumental in shaping the brand’s football proposition. He played a key role in the creation and development of the popular RequestABet and BuildABet products and contributed significantly to Sky Bet’s EFL sponsorship-led football strategy.
Evison joins Abelson following a 25-year tenure at Sky Bet and its predecessor, Surrey Sports. Throughout his career, he has led pre-match and ante-post football trading, developed transfer and manager markets, and helped evolve the operator’s match stats proposition.
The appointments mark a strategic move by Abelson Sports to further strengthen its global trading infrastructure, supporting the company’s continued investment in its ODDS, DATA, and TECH capabilities amid increasing demand from tier-one operators for innovative and dependable pricing solutions.
